Hey OpenSUSE conference 2013 organizers, my name is Shawn Chang. I'm a security guy at SUSE. My day job is maintaining( backport CVE patches from upstream) some open source packages( openssl, gnutls) for SUSE enterprise edition and openSUSE. I also have interest in other security technology such as hardening. I'd like to be there and share with you guys.

No video of the event yet, sorry!

Security issues are becoming more importantly than ever before. When you want to deploy your own application, hardening is a inevitable problem that you have to consider about. GNU/Linux itself providing a lot of hardening techniques, including conventional hardening techniques such as non-executable stack/Relocation read-only/ASLR/PIE in GCC/glibc level, and confinement technologies, such as SELinux, Apparmor.
