Packaging workshop.
Packaging - How hard can it be (not very)
Simon Lees
I am a Software Engineer based in Australia, I have been working on openSUSE for 6 years maintaining the Enlightenment desktop and several other packages, I have also been active in the community both on IRC and mailing lists, in more recent times I have also become a member of the package review team. I have spent the last year working at SUSE as a packager and outside of this have interests in topics such as desktop design as well as robotics and electronics.
No video of the event yet, sorry!
The packaging team at SUSE would like to run a packaging workshop to introduce people to the concepts behind packaging and OBS, while I am organizing this workshop I will be helped by other members of the packaging team. We will start with the basics then potentially move to some more advanced areas. To make the most of the workshop participants will need to bring a laptop.
We could probably make this work in 1.5 hrs but depending on the numbers we may need 3.
