An update from the Geeko Foundation
Douglas DeMaio
Douglas DeMaio is a manager for the openSUSE Project. He was marketing intern for Siemens Healthcare, a Sales and Marketing Manager for microdrones GmbH and has more than 15 years of Public Relations/Public Affairs experience. He has extensive experience in all aspects of news gathering for local, national and international media. He coached Senior officials for press conferences and individual interviews and developed strategic communications, including talking points, messaging, and advising on media approaches for both controversial and non-controversial issues.
Patrick Fitzgerald
Patrick's original background was in the film industry, were he worked for 8 years as a Special Effects technician. But since he started programming at age 14, he's overlaid that with 30+ Years in technology, with at least 15+ years with working with Linux.

The presentation will highlight the strategic initiatives undertaken by the foundation's trustees, demonstrating their commitment to advancing the project. By offering a clear picture of the foundation's operations and achievements, this talk aims to inform and engage community members, encouraging greater participation and support for the Geeko Foundation's mission. Members of the Geeko Foundation include Douglas DeMaio, Svebor Prstačić and Patrick Fitzgerald. The foundation is advancing and is looking for help from participants.
