Getting started with openQA test development
Contributing to openSUSE development with tests

Santiago Zarate
I've been working with Free and Open Source software for about 15 years, Developer, Sysadmin, Developer again, Technical QA, OS Gutter, QA Again and now backend Developer for OpenQA with a twist.
I'm a guy that writes Perl code and likes to have fun making software and hardware do fun stuff while eating Maria Cookies (They are awesome!).
I believe in E-Voting and Open Government!, operating system agnostic, with a passion for Quality Assurance, Mechanical Keyboards and Software Engineering.
Working as Quality Assurance Engineer at SUSE
No video of the event yet, sorry!
In this workshop we will be looking at how one can contribute to openSUSE development via openQA, our testing platform; for curious minds that want to know how to develop tests for their favorite applications and packages they care about or how to contribute by fixing tests.
We will be going through the steps towards a first contribution by creating a new test or fixing an already existing one, going through the common pitfalls one might stumble upon when getting started and how to get your changes reviewed and approved
