News on hardware and Spectre

Andreas joined SUSE's Virtualization Team in 2011 and took on the role of Project Manager for ARM64 in 2017. He has been involved in the openSUSE ARM port from the beginning and keeps pushing the limits of where mainline Linux kernels and openSUSE can run.
Following up on last year's talk (https://events.opensuse.org/conference/oSC17/program/proposal/1246) I intend to give an update on hardware support in openSUSE and software support for new boards. This will include an update on Meltdown/Spectre mitigations and what users need to take care of.
