Making a practicle VNC client for character terminals

Howard is a senior developer working on directory services and authentication technologies, covering LDAP, Kerberos, SSSD, as well as the PAM authentication suite. As part of his assignment he contributes to respective upstream projects, as well as integrate these components into SUSE Linux products. He is also responsible for integration between SUSE products and SAP - this includes the system installer, tuning and optimisation, security, and utilities.
This is a lightening talk and live demo of a practical VNC client made for character terminals.
The more theoretical topics of the talk will dig into the basics of VNC programming, terminal manipulation, and how to deal with terminal input quirks.
