In recent years, the promotion of GNU/Linux and FOSS but also its adoption by big companies and governmental organisations data centers, create a pressing need to ensure knowledge of the employed staff.

In this context and due to the immediate demand of specialized technicians, many suggestions for knowledge documentation on the most used system on web and e-mail server but also on LAMP solutions (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP), are offered.

This presentation is reference and analysis on the causes which lead to the certification need as to the reason that Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC) satisfies the growing demands.
