Presented by:

Adrian Schröter

from SUSE

Works in Nürnberg as project manager for the SUSE and openSUSE build infrastructure, esp. for the distribution build tools like the Open Build Service. Formerly acting as the openSUSE project manager and even before as the SUSE KDE guy, creating the SUSE default desktop.

No video of the event yet, sorry!

Initially we will show the current state of Open Build Service (OBS) and it's concept.

The main focus of the session will show how to run an own instance of OBS on your real or virtual hardware.
We will also demonstrate how to reuse resources from other OBS instances.

Furthermore we will demonstrate setups which are useful to * Build for multiple Linux distributions * Test intrusive changes which have a deep inpact into the distribution * Port openSUSE to another hardware architecture * Rebuild packages in a different flavor.
