Deploying ceph manually can be a very tedious and challenging task. Luckily ceph-deploy, based on ssh, arose and made the deployment a bit easier, but... it does not scale.

Salt does not care if you have 1 or 10000 nodes. That's why we chose it to build a tool that allows ceph deployment and management at a (almost) infinite scale.

If you always wanted to deploy ceph but never knew how? Come by.
